Well, all is well in Brassell land. The rascal is back (she spent a week at Grandma Brassell's) and our house is full of life once again. Man, we missed her. However, I am concerned at all the "help" I am receiving from little miss second-mama. Poor Johnny- Caity is seriously ALWAYS in his face! As soon as he falls asleep "WAKE UP BABY JOHNNY!! ITS NOT NIGHT TIME YET! OK?" It is cute though. Being a mom of two has had its definate ups and definate downs but all in all I couldn't be happier and more grateful for my favorite boy under 25 and my favorite girl.
Now...enough of cheezy

For FHE we went sledding! Caity of course loved it...I of course kept my sore hiney on the sidelines with the camera...I love how funny kids looked bundled up! Love this picture.

We are all so excited he is finally here! Baby and Mom are both healthy and doing well. Yay for our new addition!

1-17 and today!

It has been a good couple of days. I went to the Doctor's on Monday- don't even worry I was there for 2 hours and 17 minutes...all for a 2 minute talk with doc. It was pretty busy. John had to work so I braved the office with Caity - of course it is the one time we are there for ever! And Of course the doctor walks in right after Caity has lodged her head between the poles of a table....I didn't dare get down and help her on account of I was pantsless, so I just pulled her hair trying to tug her out until the nurse helped me- redneck much?.....I should have brought my camera to my appointment, then you would have gotten a better taste of my day.

The good news is we have a deadline which has actually been pretty comforting. If I don't go into labor I will be induced Friday at 7:30am. January 21st, 2011- that is going to be my baby boy's birthday! Kind of exciting...I have calmed down quite a bit about the list of things outside my control....I have come to the conclusion that if I go into labor, I do- and that is great. If not, then I will be induced, which could be the kick start my body needs...if Johnny 5 pulls a Caity and decides not cause any dialation and I don't progress while in labor- there is nothing I can do about and will have to get a C-section. End of story. I guess I am just coming to terms with facts and I am just grateful I live in a time that no matter what the baby will come out, and chances of tradegy are fairly slim. Thank you modern medicine. (Special shout out to Mr. Epideral.)

1-17-2010... I opened the door to check in on Caity and totally found her rolled out of her bed, completely knocked out...love it.



1-18-2010. Caity and Ezra again. They come running out of Caity's room where these letter blocks acting like robots or something. They are so weird. But so cool. Because their moms are so cool too.


PS- you have to admit it...I have totally been on a blogging roll lately...

Here's something crazy: today is my due date! Its a little crazy. You spend 9 months saying your due date over and over again, and hearing your due date over and over again (even though I kept forgetting mine- thought it was the 13th...but still...) and then it is here! And I don't even know what to do with myself! Jumping jacks? Power squats? Baby where you at??? And the answer is..."quiet mom, I am busy lodging my feet into your ribs." thanks Johnny boy! And hurry up and get here! We are excited to meet you!

I realized the reason I am bad blogger is mostly because I am a bad picture taker...so I thought I would kind of copy my friend, Erin, who has made it a goal to take a picture every day and post it (she is a pretty stellar photographer so it has been cool to see all her pictures, I am no talented photographer, but it should still be fun.) So now presenting....some moments from my day:

Kayleen, Ezra and Makai came over to play today... Caity and Ezra started dancing and it was the funniest thing! Ezra does the robot and it is so stinkin cute...but I can't ever get videos to upload. Bummer.

Eating their PB and J...I love Ezra's smile here! It was fun to have them over...we will need to do it again soon!



My favorite girl.

"oh no, Horsie fell down!" Caity got this barbie horse for Christmas that can walk by itself and every time it fell down she would look at me with this same face expression...it has been a fun toy.

Caity...

Oh Caity, where to start...Caity is loving having her own room again, and thanks to grandparents and aunts and uncles that spoil her, she has pretty much the coolest room ever. Her recent loves have been reading ALL her books on her bed (and well, books in general,) Cooking mac & cheese, eggs and orange-apple juice for her daddy, taking care of her babies (including putting them on timeout until they "decide to happy,ok? ok. Mommy- baby on timeout until decide to happy. No touch, mommy, ok? ok." "cleaning up her room" which includes taking EVERYTHING out of her drawers and rearranging them, scooby doo, elmo, the library, mac & cheese and pizza. And of course a million other things I can't think of right now. She has become quite theatrical she is never just "hundry" she usually will come into the kitchen holding her stomach and sagging her shoulders and exclaim with the biggest sigh, "Taity is SOOO hundry!" or she is SOOO tired or SOOO happy or even some days "SOO VERY (something)." And she never just likes something but just LOVES everything. You like Elmo? "Oh Taity LOVES elmo!" with an occasional "so much" So I started arguing with her, saying, "No, I love elmo" and we would go back and forth until Caity with say something like "Ok, both we love elmo, ok? ok." Every time John and I go somewhere Caity will ask where we are and we will give her the respective answer, and she will look at me and say "No...Daddy go get pizza" every. single. time. It cracks us up though. Every prayer consists of "heavy fadder, tank you for desus and nusry and daddy and mommy and nusry and daddy. (mumble mumble) desus...AMEN! We need also need to get a picture of that girl dancing...what a riot! She just makes us laugh...we are glad to have her. She is excited for the baby to come and I think she will be a pretty good helper at that...

John
John has started his first semester as an English major...with, get this, 20 credits! Is he crazy? Must be so. He really likes his classes so far though- man is he gone a lot though... I like studying English with him more than Biology, so I can't complain too much. He is trying to find a job, but that has proved to be impossible in the little town of Rexburg, so what do we do when we don't have a job? We buy a car to flip, of course. So John just fixed up this little Accent and it is ready to put back on the market- I must say I am pretty proud of him since that stuff is totally over my head. He is also fixing up washers and dryers to sell....oh, the good life. he is working pretty hard and I am darn grateful for all he does.

Me
Well, I am still pregnant- though I don't really mind, I am really enjoying this last little bit before my world is turned upside down again. My mom just found out she won't be able to come out, which would have been fun, but that's life- and as a result I am have gone in turbo-nesting-mode...in hipes that the transition will go smoothly (I would NOT have been able to do it without my mom last time- which I know is a little pathetic, but whatever.) I was in the kitchen two days straight cooking and freezing enough meals for literally a month (a little overboard?) I have scrubbed my house ceilinug to floor, corner to corner, and the baby's room is done (finally)! Bags are packed for the hospital and I am ready! But not rushing it... The doc says I'm a green tomato...which I think pretty much means I am not in labor or going into labor any time soon. Without going into too much detail about things most people really don't want to know I am just praying I go into labor (as opposed to being induced.) I am shooting for a V-back (regular deliver after a C-section.) and being induced decreases the chances 50%....so I am a little worried in that I have felt almost nothing indicating this baby is coming any time soon (my due date is Saturday.) So keep your fingers crossed for me, will ya?

My New Year's Resolution

So you might think I am an overacheiver when it comes to this goal setting at the New Year's and all... but if I don't write it for the world to see I could just see myself not doing it...so here you have it my 2011 new year's resolutions:

1-Have a baby (preferably sooner)
2- actually I haven't gotten past that first one.


For the record, I don't even mind nosy strangers...as long as they tell me how great I look...you are all welcome to leave comments of how wonderfully I carry (even though I have yet to post a picture...take my word for it. I look fabulous.)
