Today we joined some friends to go strawberry picking! It was so fun. I was hesitant to go as I predicted all the things that could (and often do) go wrong with two crazy boys on such adventures. However, when I mentioned the idea to William and saw his eyes light up, I was sold. He ran upstairs and dressed in "all strawberry red!" Matthew then had to dress in "all drawburry BLUE!" And we were set. I promised myself I would focus primarily on the boys and their experience (as opposed to the quality/quantity of strawberries or talking to friends.) That really paid off, we had a great time together.
This is them pouting because our ride wasn't there "RIGHT NOW." It cracks me up how much Matthew copies every little thing William does.
They really got into it. Williams particular nature really came in handy as he only picked the "end but not SO red that they are purple-red" strawberries.
Matthew may have eaten more than he picked. :/

It was such a fun peaceful little outing that ended with milkshakes and homemade jam. :)
