Mother's Day here looked like:
Breakfast in bed, featuring Caity's speciality pancake and Johnny's speciality toast.
A good phone call with my mom.
"Sunshine Flowers" in every room so I would feel loved, happy, and appreciated everywhere in the house.
Chocolates I stress-ate ALL gone the hour getting everyone ready for church. (Whoops.) (But Sundays with four kids, am I right??)
An avant-gaurd table setting by Caity.
A necklace from Caity, a book mark from Johnny.
A card thanking me for helping Caity get through her trials, and a card apologizing for being mean all the time (?) From Johnny.
Personalized, hand made "MOM" decor on the walls (orchestrated and delegated by none other than Caity.)
John coming home from meetings and giving me a big hug.
ALL my kids going up to sing a Mother song during sacrament. Matthew tripped a couple times in his excitement to join the big kids and made sure to turn around and wave at us as if saying, "I'm OK!" Caity looked at me smiling the whole time, Johnny looked bored, and William looked at John. When William got back down to us he said, "I sang that for dad!"
Caity said "That song really is creepy to me."
Johnny gave me a hug.
Matthew thought he was star of the show.
William making toast by himself for the first time. He was extremely proud. It had: jam, honey, and cinnamon sugar. (See below picture of him sitting on the counter.)
Fort making.
Fruit Salad.
Taking flowers to a friend.
A picnic at a park with friends.
Matthew and William refusing to go to bed at night.
John and I talking about the future.
It was a goof Sunday. I'm grateful for John and the kids for trying to make it special for me.

Beautiful flowers! Are they from your yard? Sounds like a grand day! Life is Good :)
I wish they were! No, just from the store...aren't they cheery?
